Wheat Crop

There are countless misconceptions surrounding gluten and carbohydrates.  Freshly milled flour can heal your body.

I personally grind my own wheat with a mill. I make blueberry muffins, English muffins, breads, cinnamon rolls, cheesy biscuits and so much more.  I would recommend you tap into Sue Becker for information about the health benefits of wheat and why God said to have our daily bread.  I know for, myself, in just three months of 2-3 servings of freshly milled flour (FMF) products that my iron (which I struggled with for YEARS went up naturally without any supplements from 29 to 104 and my Ferritin went up 2.5 points in just three months!!!

FMF keeps me regular and I feel very satisfied. ​

For cooking tips and excellent recipes videos, Kara Britch from Grains in Small Places.  Her recipes are off the charts awesome.  Please watch her videos before making something because the tips in her shows are game changers.  Working with FMF is totally different then store bought flour:  allowing the flour to soak up the wet ingredients is key so you don't over add flour. 

Below is the cookbook I use from Kara and some recommended products. 

You will want to invest into a good mill and mixer (you will burn your Kitchen Aid mixer up, you need a higher quality).  I get my wheat berries from an Amish store here in Michigan that is almost half the price (Yoders Kuntry Market in Clare MI) but there are also an online company such as The Bread Beckers  to get wheat berries.

I make batches of freshly milled items and freeze them. Each evening I will pull out 2-3 servings of something and put it in the covered plate to defrost for the next day. 

For loaves of bread, I put about 4 slices in bread bags to freeze. I'll make French toast, toast with butter (excellent evening snack instead of chips), or a sandwich.

For fitness, I highly recommend PraiseMoves which is a Christian alternative to Yoga.  Check out this interview I did with Laurette Willis.  Go to her website and find an instructor near you.  If you can find a place for me to teach PM, I'll think about becoming certified again. 

I LOVE the program, just need a place to do it closer to Fenton MI.
